COACHING

A coaching partnership with Gareth offers the ultimate level of support and expertise to help you achieve your highest athletic potential. All coaching programs are custom to the individual athlete and include specific daily sessions for endurance, mobility, recovery and strength training so that you become a “complete athlete”.

All programs also offer detailed coaching on nutrition, recovery techniques, mental training strategies and race preparation. All athletes are expected to train with a heart-rate monitor and keep a daily training journal. Regular personal communication with Gareth is available by phone, text, video call, email and in-person.

Each athlete will need to undertake blood lactate testing at the start of the program then approximately every 10-12 weeks thereafter to monitor progress and gains. Lactate testing fees are NOT included in the coaching program fees BUT are discounted to $250 per test after initial testing. (Athletes who are not local to Gareth will be asked to invest in a simple lactate analyzer for home testing or visit a local lab where possible)

Commitment is a minimum of 3 months on a monthly retainer basis.

MENTORING

Coach Gareth’s mentoring program looks at your life through the “lens of sport”. He brings a host of modalities, techniques and skills from the world of professional athletics to create a custom, life transforming experience just for YOU.

Perhaps you have read Peter Attia’s “OUTLIVE”, seen the Andrew Huberman podcasts and followed the development of Bryan Johnson’s BLUEPRINT system but are still confused as to what exactly you need to do for YOU. Coach Gareth simplifies the process, clears your mind and gives you a custom experience to revolutionize YOUR life.

The program is for those who wish to work on all areas of their lives to hit their highest potential in relationships, success, sport, health and more.

COACHING v MENTORING?

Coaching is totally sports and fitness performance focused, such as, “I want to run a marathon” or “I want to train like an athlete”.

Mentoring is a transformational whole-life experience taking your fitness, health, mindset and longevity to its highest potential. The process is more conversation and task based. It might have a sports performance focus but sits more in the realm of longevity & hybrid athletics. The process goes much deeper. Almost therapy but without the Bulls#$%!

LACTATE TESTING

During an exercise test, blood lactate samples are taken along with heart-rate, power/pace & hydration data while you exercise at gradually increasing intensities. This data is then analyzed and an easy to use, practical prescription is then given to the athlete. These ZONES are based on heartrate, power, pace or a combination of each to suit the athlete and coach’s needs. Tests are available for Swimming, Cycling, Running & Rowing.

NUTRITION COACHING

Completely overhaul your food, fueling and supplementation plan to hit your ideal body composition, boost your immune system, perfectly fuel races and training and gain legal advantages in performance.

This 3-month program is designed especially for endurance athletes. It starts with an in-depth analysis of current dietary habits and gut/ health issues including supplements, race and training fuels.

A custom prescription and food rotation plan is then created to guide the athlete through the process of becoming leaner, stronger and symptom free.

Follow-up bi-weekly calls (15 mins) and 3-month check-in call (30 mins) will keep you on track with menu variations, protocol updates and all your questions answered.
